I promised to post videos from Ghana Fashion & Design Week which took place at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra last October.  Here are some of the highlights from the event which included designers from Ghana, South Africa the UK and USA.  The fashion industry in Ghana is still very new and slowly making its mark on the world.  Hopefully the shows in the next GFDW will attract even more designers from the continent.  I’d love to see the diversity of East African and North African fashion designers included in this event.  Some of my favourite collections included Zarth, Bello | Edu and Msukisi Mbane.  I also loved some of the pieces from Amanda May.

Overall it was a great venue and well put together event.  Some of Ghana’s established and well known designers were missing this time around, but hopefully well see them at the next GFDW.
