It’s spring, but most of us in the north are still dealing with cool breezes and wind chill factors.  It’s already May and with summer season around the corner, I question the sense of walking out with toes exposed when I’m still shivering.  With all the cute summer styles in stores what’s the best way to stave off that spring chill while still embracing the new season? A scarf.  The relevance of this accessory is often forgotten, but many don’t realize how valuable it really is, especially on a cold spring morning before the sun is fully shining.

Choose scarves in various colours that celebrate the season like, yellow, pink or lavender that will add the punch of colour your outfit needs to feel like spring.  Also embracing floral and geometric patterns will keep you on trend for the season.  A wide long scarf can be wrapped around in different ways to create new and interesting looks.  The good thing about a wide scarf is you can open it up and wrap it around your shoulders like a shawl or cape for an added layer of warmth when you feel a little cool, especially as the sun sets and temperatures drop.

Go ahead and grab a scarf, stay warm it won’t be much longer until the summer heat-wave.
