Shop Thrift

I wanted to share this photo of one of my fashion finds shopping second hand.  I am a firm believer that you can look amazing on a budget.  Not everyone has $3000 to spare on a designer coat.  This mantra of shopping thrift doesn’t only apply to those who are on a budget either.  Sometimes there are things in thrift stores that are no longer available in mass retail shops or you score an amazing vintage item that absolutely no one else has. Well, maybe someone’s grandmother has it stuffed in a trunk or boxes in a basement.

Anyway, I scored this amazing coat by French Connection at The Salvation Army Thrift Store.  It was only $11.99 and was brand new.  Never worn.  The pockets were still stitched closed like they are on brand new merchandise.  I think someone may have been hiding it because I actually found it mixed in with ladies dresses. 😉  Sorry to the person who stuck it there with intent to come back later…I found it.  And it was right next to a Burberry cotton summer dress that was going for a mere $10.  It’s amazing what you can find when you take the time to search through the racks in a thrift or vintage shop.
