Louis Vuitton is best known for luxury luggage and handbags. That infamous LV emblem covers leather arm candy and has been knocked off around the world. But it’s not the only thing Vuitton does. Each season the label shows a ready-to-wear collection at Paris Fashion Week.
The spring 2013 runway show brought models down an escalator wearing mod inspired checks in yellow, black and beige. They strutted down the bright yellow checker-board runway looking as if they stepped out of a time machine from the 1950’s-1960’s; wearing mini-skirts, short dresses and cropped tops with checked patterns. Models walked in pairs with outfits that complemented each other and each carrying handbags made to perfectly match the garments.
This is a collection that will surely be setting trends for the upcoming season.
