I was honoured to have been asked to be the moderator for the Ladies Week Congress back in August. It was a great experience being a part of an event that celebrated women working in the tourism and hospitality sector of Ghana. The theme for the event was ‘Beyond the Return: Beyond the Pandemic, A New Woman’. It was designed to bring attention to the role women play in the tourism industry.

The Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, delivered a speech during the event where she spoke on the value of women being a significant part of the sector. She also spoke on the value of giving women the recognition and providing platforms for their voices to be heard.
