It’s already November. That means the last couple of months of the year are here. Hard to believe that 2018 is almost over. It feels like just a few weeks ago when we turned the page to a new year. You made new goals, set some standards and felt great about a fresh new start.
Now, over three quarters into the year, you may be feeling lost. Like you have not accomplished even half of what you thought. For some, you haven’t even accomplished a single thing you set out to do. It feels like year after year, you’re not making any progress. Because of that feeling, it’s easy to just throw in the towel and give up. Well, today I’m here to say don’t. Just hit the ‘reset button’.
It’s not too late to start over. To start fresh. Have a clean slate. You don’t have to wait until January 1, to make new goals. You can do this any time you want. The time is now. Don’t wait. Instead, sit down and write exactly what you need to do.
It’s important to get it on paper so you can visually see it. Just thinking about it won’t accomplish anything. It’s so easy for your mind to wander and for the realities of daily living to distract you from the goals.
I decided to pull out one of my old vision boards. To see if I’ve made any progress over the years since I made it. When I looked, I had not. A few things on the board are checked off as complete. But some major things I set out to do still have yet to be accomplished.
I will be leaving that old vision board up, while I prepare a new one for 2019. This is my time to hit the reset button and try different ways to get things done.
You should do the same. Create your vision for 2019. Do it now. Why wait until the end of the year?
