Is Miss Universe Japan, Japanese Enough?

Ariana Miyamoto is the first mixed race woman to win the crown of Miss Japan.  Since her win earlier this year, it has sparked conversation both positive and negative as to whether she deserved the win when she is not 100% Japanese.  Her father is Black (African-American) and her mother Japanese. She, like many other mixed-race people in Japan, face much ridicule and obstacles trying to fit in.  Watch this video from BBC to hear more about her story.
