Try this one on for size.  Yesterday Kenneth Cole unveiled the world’s largest high-heeled shoe in celebration of the 10th annual Guinness World Records Day and also the 60th anniversary of the Guinness Book of World Records.  The designer partnered with Today Show Contributor Jill Martin and created this shoe and they revealed it on the Today Show on Thursday November 13th.  The shoe is actually a duplicate of the Kenneth Cole New York Otto.  The style comes from the fall 2014 collection and was made 6 feet 1 inch tall (that’s my height!) and 6 feet 5 inches in length.  It took almost 400 hours to recreate this shoe and they also used 3-D printing technology to create the buckle and clasp on the shoe.

“The steps involved with creating a shoe are often underestimated, so when Jill called with this idea of creating the world’s largest shoe, I immediately jumped at the chance,” said Kenneth Cole. “My career as a designer has literally reached a new height as breaking a Guinness World Record is no small ‘feet’.”

This would really be an amazing sight to see in person.  I love shoes myself and would probably love having a giant shoe sitting in my home like it was a piece of art.

Jill Martin was equally thrilled to work with Cole on this project.  “I had written on my bucket list that I wanted to break a world record and thought something shoe-related would be a perfect fit! This has been a labor of love and could not have asked for a better teammate. Kenneth Cole is everything he prides himself to be: creative, quirky and extremely philanthropic. I am happy we will step right into the Guinness World Record book together!”
