Sometimes we are afraid of making mistakes and that fear is enough to hold us back from pursuing our goals. As children we grow up learning from parents and teachers that making a mistake is bad. We learn it because of the pressure to get good grades and excel at everything. When we do wrong the fear of punishment or negative outcome is enough to keep us from trying.
What we don’t always understand is that making mistakes means we are actually trying. Nobody knows everything. It is in learning and getting it wrong from time to time that we learn how to master or perfect what we are working on.
So today, try something new and don’t be afraid of making a mistake. If you do, then you know exactly what NOT to do next time. It’s all part of the process.
