It’s almost the end of January and most people made some New Year’s Resolutions or set forth some new goals at the start of the year. Now that we’re 4 weeks into the new year it’s very likely that old habits have caused you to miss the mark. If you wrote down your goals then you should go back and review the list.
Reviewing your goals is the best way to keep yourself on course. Staying on track is about constantly reminding yourself what you are doing and remember to keep the end in mind. In reviewing your goals don’t feel discouraged if you’ve missed a few that you set. Nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes.
If you’re prone to falling off track then maybe you should consider posting your list of goals somewhere you will see it every day. I used to write goals on post it notes and stick in on my mirror. That way I’d see it every morning when I am getting ready. It served as a good way to start the day on a good note.
Successful people always remember to review their goals. If things are not working after a few attempts then perhaps it is time to re-evaluate the way you are going about it. Maybe there is another way to do it. If so, find out how and get it done.
