“Focus on your strengths and you’ll feel better about yourself.” –Ivy Prosper
Sometimes our self-esteem can go up and down like a roller coaster. Everyone has those days when we wake up feeling like we’re at the bottom of the roller coaster and it’s the end of the world. As if nothing is going right and then we start to respond by focusing on our weaknesses. Negative self-talk will doing nothing but bring you down. When you feel like this begin to focus on your strengths.
When I do my speaking engagements I often challenge the young people to find five things they love about themselves. I tell them to write it down and take a look at it on those days when they are feeling down or bad about themselves. When you see and remember what your strengths are the realization that you are valuable and good at something helps not only to boost your self-esteem but also gets your mind focused in the right direction.
Focus on your strengths.
