Kenyan Lady

Every day in Ghana I have at least one person tell me “You must be a Kenyan.”

Well on this particular day, I wore a necklace purchased in Kenya from the Maasai market. The purse I carried was also from Kenya. So even though both my skirt and t-shirt were from Canada, I was still ‘the Kenyan lady’ from the Ghanaian perspective.

I love the look of African fashion and the bold colours in their jewellery. I am very supportive of African style and love to bring things together that merges the contemporary with tradition. I think it’s that element that will continue to push African style within the global fashion market.
