I posted a picture of myself in this dress on Instagram recently. I had friends asking me to start sharing more of where I find some of my clothes. So I decided I will start doing that more often. My style is simple. I like to find pieces that work well for my body. Everyone thinks being tall and slim compared to the average woman makes shopping easy. But truthfully it’s a challenge. Every woman has a different issue when she shops. Being as tall as I am (6’1″ – 1.85m) it’s not easy to find a maxi dress that goes down past ankles. They are usually resting above my ankles or middle of my calves. A maxi-dress usually becomes a midi-dress on me.
So when I find one like this, I can’t pass it up. I found this one while perusing through one of my thrift hauls. The Salvation Army was having a 50% off sale on dresses so this one came to a mere $4.99. The dress still had the tags on it. So the person who donated, obviously never wore it. I always get lucky and find these fabulous deals. You can too. It just takes a little patience and knowing exactly what you’re looking for.
