When wearing a pencil skirt during the cold winter months it’s essential that you find a pair of boots to the knee or even over-the-knee so you keep your legs covered yet sleek.  Adding a poncho to your look is a great way to stay cozy and comfortable.  If you’re in a more creative work environment you can get away with the cobalt pencil skirt from Topshop pictured above.  Wear it with a biege boot like these from Balenciaga and top it with a native inspired poncho like this one by Isabel Marant.

For the more classic look stick to a black and white colour scheme.  Choose the loopy poncho from Topshop or add a little sophistication with the black leather trimmed poncho from Donna Karan.
