In a few short weeks a new collection will be launched that targets a market that has long been ignored in the fashion business. Women of colour who want to wear nude. All too often the term ‘nude’ in fashion is synonymous with white or Caucasian skin. Not every woman has that skin tone and why are other skin colours not considered as ‘nude’? A question many women of colour have asked when shopping for hosiery and lingerie.
Nubian Skin aims to fill the void that its founder saw in the market. The initial product offering will be available in sizes 30B up to 36DD/E. As a new company it’s not easy to jump into all size ranges in the beginning stages, but they do have intentions to expand into the plus range in the future. Quality control is of huge importance as noted on the blog when the company founder visited the factory in Hong Kong to check the product. It not only eased their mind, but was also quite impressive to see the quality of the product before it is sold to customers.

When you follow the blog you will have the opportunity to see the progress and follow the journey of Nubian Skin. In the four weeks before its official product launch they are counting down by introducing the variety of colour range. It’s really interesting how foundation colours are used as a reference point to let customers know which shade would best suit her.
Nubian Skin officially launches in October. Information will be posted here once everything is official. For now, follow the blog at blog.nubianskin.com.
