It’s always exciting to discover fashion brands I wasn’t aware of before.  While watching The Today Show, I noticed a gorgeous necklace that Co-Anchor Tamron Hall was wearing.  I immediately took to Twitter to ask the name of the brand. Thanks to the power of social media, I got a response from the designer when I asked the name of the brand; Holst and Lee.

Currently featured in the March 2014 issue of Essence magazine and the 50th Anniversary Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, the jewelry line has been featured in the pages of Vogue, InStyle, Glamour, Elle, and several other publications.   Based in New York City, Holst and Lee is a combination of the design creativity of Natalie Holst and Rochelle Lee.  Their pieces are all made by hand and draw from inspirations they see in places, people and culture.  What attracts people to their items are the interesting colour combinations and the way they infuse art and culture into every design.  Many of the pieces in the collection remind me of the work of artisans I have seen from places like Ghana, South America, Mexico and Native Americans.
