A pregnant Kerry Washington decided to make a bold move and wear a crop top at the SAG Awards on January 18.  She probably caused a scandal for many not used to seeing women expose their pregnant bellies, especially at a gala event.  Over the last two decades women have become more comfortable in their skin opting to show off their pregnancy with body conscious clothing or through posing for nude photos to share their joy and beauty of their changing bodies.

Washington, who was nominated for outstanding performance by a female actor in a Drama series, wore an embellished, fuchsia coloured crop top by Prada and a midnight blue high-waisted skirt.  She made her first public appearance of her baby bump at the Golden Globe Awards last weekend.  When asked about her style choice she boldly stated on the red carpet, “I don’t have anything to hide anymore.”
