One of the best ways to remain productive and keep your reputation in tack is learning how to say NO.
I was inspired to write this as a result of some recent things that have happened and could have been avoided by simply saying “No”. I have, at times tried to take on too much for not wanting to say no. All it did was leave me stretched thin for time and energy to get the job done and done well. I learned it would be better had I just said no.
I also have been on the receiving end of someone committing to doing something only to learn they would have been better off saying no. That person found he could not keep a commitment made to me which in turn resulted in throwing my entire schedule out of wack. Had that person said no to begin with I would not have planned anything around him.
So today’s lesson to work better and live better is learning to say NO.
