Last night was the 55th Annual Grammy Awards and as usual the celebrities strutted in the best of the best designers. It was interesting to see what everyone decided to wear especially after the recent announcement of a ‘dress code’ for the awards ceremony. Once again I’m going to give you my choices for outfits that were red carpet worthy but could be worn again and again.
First my favourite wear again ensemble was worn by Rosci Diaz. I could see myself wearing her white 5th & Mercer jumpsuit to an elegant event with the right accessories or to a casual affair by throwing a tank top or cami underneath and adding a skinny white belt with a pair of espadrilles.

Beyoncé also surprised many when she arrived in this subdued black and white jumpsuit. It was the total opposite of her sister Solange, who was in an emerald gown with hot pink shoes. I loved Beyoncé’s look for it’s wear-ability and that it’s an item that can be worn again. It’s so simple yet very chic.
Karlie Kloss also looked great in a blue Michael Kors dress that was on trend with the geometric lines and cutouts in the dress. Another dress that’s worthy of the red carpet yet simple enough to wear again.

Finally, I thought Jeannie Mai did it well wearing something that could have come off at too casual. But because of her keen fashion sense she was able to get away with it. I do think it was a little too understated for an awards show but, because it is a music ceremony I think being different and having some edge is works to her advantage. After all the people in music usually go on their own path when it comes to style.
