New York Fashion Week didn’t let the winter storm bring it down. Even though the east coast has been dealing with cancelled flights, shoveling snow and so many closures the fashion world must go on. As IMG told Women’s Wear Daily, “In consultation with the city and the CFDA, as well as our other partners, we have decided not to close Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week early….All planned shows will go on as scheduled.”
One of the big highlights at New York Fashion Week is seeing how all the models, stylists, editors and other members of fashion’s social circles are dressed. Snapshots of personal style on websites like the Sartorialist have become staple at NYFW. But when it’s cold, snowing and nasty out, most will run to get out of the harsh weather.
How do you handle your personal style in severe winter weather? It’s difficult to remain stylish when staying warm, dry and comfortable should be the priorities. What are the fashion elite doing during NYFW? Here are a few photos of fashionistas staying warm in the beginning of fashion week.
