Nigerian-born, London-based designer Duro Olowu is known for his bold colours and bright prints. He uses prints in a way that may seem unconventional at times. By mixing colours, different patterns and creating fashion as an artist does with a canvas, Olowu is one of those creative talents that is often underrated. First Lady, Michelle Obama is one who appreciates his designs.
This year he is about to become more mainstream as his recent collaboration with American retailer J.C. Penney is launched for spring 2013. The items will be available in store for a limited time; March until May 2013.
